The Association of Catholic Student Councils (TACSC) Trains Student Leaders
Santa Monica, Calif. (February 2025) – The William H. Hannon Foundation today announced a $50,000 grant to The Association of Catholic Student Councils (TACSC). This latest grant brings the total support of TACSC to over $2 million – an important milestone that underscores the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to developing young Catholic leaders through education, mentorship, and leadership training.
TACSC has been at the forefront of Catholic education leadership since its founding in 1982. The non-profit, faith-based leadership training organization works to develop moral leaders who positively impact our world.
“We are grateful to the William H. Hannon Foundation’s transformative support over the last two decades, which has been a major factor in expanding our programs and reaching more students,” said Heidi Johnson, Executive Director at TACSC. “This partnership has allowed us to inspire and equip young Catholic leaders with the confidence and skills they need to make a meaningful impact in their schools, churches, and communities.”
The William H. Hannon Foundation has supported TACSC for over 24 years, recognizing the organization’s vital role in shaping future generations of Catholic leaders. The Foundation’s contributions have helped TACSC enhance its summer leadership conferences, expand year-round programming, and provide scholarships to ensure that all students, regardless of financial background, have access to leadership training.
“TACSC is an indispensable resource to our youth throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles,” said Kathleen Hannon Aikenhead, President of the William H. Hannon Foundation. “My late uncle understood the importance of developing leadership skills during middle and high school, and we are proud to keep his legacy alive by supporting TACSC.”
