Santa Monica, Calif. (August 18, 2024) – The William H. Hannon Foundation today announced that they have given grants to help 13 local nonprofit organizations. The grants will help support nonprofits focused on providing social services to Angelenos, helping address food insecurity, child and family counseling, and health care.

The grants are going to the following organizations:

·         California Charities, Santa Barbara

·         Catholic Charities, Los Angeles

·         Center for Restorative Justice Works

·         Lay Mission-Helpers

·         Ignatians West

·         Making the Right Connections, Inc.

·         Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission

·         Search Dog Foundation

·         Sisters of Social Service

·         St. Francis Center

·         Step Up

·         Valley Family Center

·         Venice Family Clinic

For the past 15 years, the William H. Hannon Foundation has supported the Center for Restorative Justice Works (CRJW) and its “Get on the Bus” program. “Get on the Bus” unites children with their incarcerated parents by providing free transportation to children to visit their parents in prison, as well as free meals throughout the day – including a shared meal with their parent. They also provide post-event counseling to the children.

“Our founder, my late uncle, William Hannon, made it a priority to support organizations that are making a substantial difference in our communities – especially those helping the most vulnerable who often go unnoticed,” said Kathleen Hannon Aikenhead, President of the William H. Hannon Foundation. “We are blessed to be able to continue his work and I know he would be proud to know that his legacy continues to benefit Los Angeles.”
